Applications close Friday, April 1st at 11:59pm. Officers will be chosen by majority vote and input from psychology professors. Elections will open Monday, April 3rd at 11:59p, and close Wednesday, April 6th at 11:59pm.
Qualifications:
Must have a declared Psychology (or Psychology related) major at the beginning of their term
Must have Sophomore standing or higher at the start of their term
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must have completed a minimum of two semesters at George Fox University
All personalities are encouraged; however, successful club vice-presidents will likely be responsible, creative, organized, and be capable of working well within a group.
Responsibilities:
President:
Lead and schedule officer and representative meetings
Write and distribute club emails to keep club members informed of upcoming events and changes
Communicate with other entities (such as professors, faculty, ASC, graduate programs, and other clubs) in order to facilitate events and further club communication
Vice President:
Assist the president in administration, event coordinating, and event ideation
Assists President in communicating with guest speakers for panels
Facilitate team cohesion and structure
Step into the presidential role when president is absent from meetings or crucial decision making points.
Secretary:
Record meeting notes
Communicate information to any officers not present at a meeting
Assist in drafting email communications and event announcements
Assist with event planning and coordination and any other necessary tasks
Treasurer:
Be responsible for coordinating with ASC about budgeting requests and managing/tracking all expenses
Regularly communicate with other officers to discuss spending and expense forecasting for club events, and
Submit all reimbursement requests to ASC financial officer and retrieve reimbursements when ready
Public Relations Officer:
Update the various psychology club social media platforms (facebook, instagram, and snapchat),
Compiling and creating content to post on said platforms
Generating promotional flyers for events
Interacting with club members to reflect their interests in the club’s social media platforms.
