We talk a lot about the military-industrial complex, but what exactly is it, who makes it up, and why are they so important? A new coalition of groups opposing their local war companies has joined together to form the War Industry Resisters Network, focused on corporate control over US foreign policy.

We're taking action the week of TAX DAY 2022 to raise awareness about the influence these war profiteers have over the way YOUR tax dollars are spent!

$768, 000, 000, 000. That’s $768 BILLION dollars for this year's Pentagon budget. The US has spent over $20 trillion on the destruction of people, their communities and the planet. The devastation of the US war machine doesn't end abroad, and can be found in our own communities in the form of highly militarized police departments targeting Black and brown communities across the country, surveillance of Indigenous led fights to protect water and defend land, and the grooming and recruitment of our children into a culture of war and violence.

While the infrastructure of our cities and the welfare of our communities crumble under the weight of these trying times, 55% of U.S. taxpayer dollars are used to subsidize private military contractors and arms dealers. War is a racket and war corporations like Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, and tech giants like Google and Amazon are making a killing on killing.  

Here’s where YOU come in! We can’t keep letting administration after administration get away with this. This tax day, we are calling on you to organize an action in your community that targets the war machine and promotes investment in a peace economy. We are demanding we cut the pentagon budget for the people, planet, peace and a future

Targets could include:

-Weapons manufacturers and arms dealers (Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. )
-Financial Institutions invested in these companies
-Intelligence companies
-Your Congressperson or Senator's office
