Which volunteer opportunities are you interested in, if available?

ETHS Charger 5K Day of Event Volunteer (July 4th)

ETHS Charger 5K Committee Volunteer- help may be needed with gathering sponsors, graphic design, publicity, social media, registration, community outreach, etc.

PSTO Scholarship Reader Committee- may not be a parent/family member of a senior student, typically end of April, 1-2 weeks to read and score applications

Student Recognition Events- assist with refreshments during or in preparation for Charge Pride Awards (April during school day) and/or Excellence Awards (May in the evening)

Senior Breakfast- last week of school

Staff Appreciation- assist with set up, refills and clean up of PSTO Staff Luncheons (Back to School Night, December Holiday Lunch, May Teacher Appreciation)

Nominating Committee- helps create a list of board members for elections (Jan-April)

College Fair & Trade Committee (October)- help with district-wide event

General Volunteer

Which PSTO Board position would you consider? The PSTO Board meets monthly, typically in the evening. Slating process starts in February by the Nominating Committee, elections are held in the spring.

Which PSTO Chair positions would you consider? The PSTO Chairs are invited to the monthly Board Meetings, typically held in the evening. These positions are slated by the Nominating Committee and appointed by the President. These maybe chair or co-chair positions.

Scholarship Chair- coordinates the PSTO Scholarship Process

Webmaster- manages the PSTO website on Membership ToolKit

Hospitality Chair- coordinates refreshments for meetings, PSTO staff luncheons, and student awards

Sign-Up Genius Chair- sets up Sign-Up Genius and sends out personal acknowledgements to staff

College Fair Chair- coordinates with the 3 other SVUSD high schools to gather presenters, vendors and volunteers for SVUSD College & Career Fair

Grad Nite Chair- Works with Grad Nite VP and helps with other senior events

Engagement Chair- coordinates students and family engagement opportunities (finals treats, class stickers, family education nights, etc)
