If you have someone wanting to volunteer that is under the age of driving, please note that they will need a guardian with them during the volunteer training class and during their volunteer time.

At the Faulkner County Animal Shelter, we have designated teams for volunteering. Which team fits you best? Some teams will require in person trainings. *

Dog Walking - Taking dogs to the courtyard or field to gain exercise for the dogs.

Dog Play Day - Checkout a dog for the day and take them to the park for fun.

Kitten Socializing - Build a relationship with a kitten, play one on one, and receive snuggles.

Fostering - You may not be able to adopt an animal, but you would love to assist in fostering an animal for a short period of time.

Animal Care Assistant - Handling animals for minor medical treatments (vaccines, physicals)

Vet Assistant - Being present on Fridays for surgery days and assisting the vet when needed.

Sanitation - Dog kennels

Sanitation - Cat kennels

Cleaning Crew - No interaction with the animals. Simple tasks of mopping, sweeping, dusting, and replenishing needed supplies.

Social Media - Taking photos of the animals and or volunteers working for the Animal Shelter social media sites.
