Position: Education Program Associate - Mentorship TeamAboutWe are seeking a motivated volunteer to support the operation and improvement of our mentorship program, which serves approximately 200 students annually. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enhancing mentorship opportunities for STEM students from the Global South.
Who can apply?Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in progress or higher in a STEM field. We welcome candidates from academia, industry, government, and the non-profit sectors, regardless of nationality.
What is the time commitment?1 - 3 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and seasonal demands.
What will this team member do?Working with the Mentorship team, the applicant will support:
- Mentorship Programs Outreach and Communications: Communicate mentorship program opportunities to potential mentees and mentors. Assist with reaching out to presentation speakers or faculty for graduate school webinars.
- Mentorship Program Logistics: Organize mentorship program logistics. Develop and schedule training content for mentees and mentors and assist with analyzing and sorting mentorship program data.
- Graduate School Webinar Presentations: Participate in presenting webinar content to mentees.
- Attend mentorship program team meetings and events
What are the qualifications? The successful applicant will be required to have the following qualifications:
- Strong organizational and data analysis skills (including Microsoft Office).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive team environment.
