Greek Board of Directors is an organization made up of student leaders from Greek organizations at LSU. The purpose of Greek Board of Directors is to ensure the welfare and continued growth and development of the Greek community and to promote Greek activities for the benefit and enhancement of the Greek community at LSU. The Greek Board of Directors exists to unify Greek organizations through programs and to serve as an advisory council to the Office of Greek Life in a visionary role to move the Greek community forward.
Annually, Greek Board of Directors sponsors Homecoming, EMPOWER weekend, Greek Week and Songfest while promoting the community through coordinated public relations and fundraising efforts.
Below, you will find requirements for potential members of the board as well as brief descriptions of the positions that will be filled for the 2016-2017 year.
Requirements: 1. Full-time undergraduate student at LSU 2. Have a 2.5 GPA from the Fall 2015 semester and a 2.5 cumulative GPA 3. An active member in good standing with a recognized Greek organization 4. Not be on University disciplinary probation or deferred suspension 5. Available every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. for weekly meetings
Fundraising Director – Coordinate meetings of Fundraising committee; oversee fundraising efforts associated with Greek Week, particularly the letter writing campaign and the Greek Week competition.
Songfest Assistant Director – Coordinate meetings of Songfest committee; organize Songfest including development and communication of rules, facility, judges and awards, and communication with chapters.
