Chagrin Falls Schools Bus Rider Survey 2021-2022
Dear Chagrin Falls Schools' Parents/Guardians,

We are updating bus transportation routes for the 2021-22 school year and we need your help!

Please take a few moments to complete the ridership survey for each student in your household by August 2. If you decline ridership now, and your circumstances change during the school year, please contact the transportation department to make a change.   It is important for every school family to complete this survey whether you choose to have your child ride the bus or not.  If you do not respond to this survey, your child may not be included in the bus routes.

The District encourages all students to utilize bus transportation in an effort to reduce the amount of traffic for arrival and dismissal.   Last school year, traffic was challenging at both Gurney Elementary School and Chagrin Falls Intermediate School.

Once again, the District will be following the COVID-19 safety protocols listed below.

We appreciate your efforts in keeping our campuses safe and reducing congestion by having your students ride the school bus, walk to school, or ride a bike.

We will be sharing bus routing details with families in August.

Covid Protocols Expected for 2021-22 School Year:

The below guidance for transportation is consistent with local health department guidance as well as state and federal guidance for safe health practices.

>Remaining consistent with public transportation guidelines, students will wear masks on the buses.  The CDC order requires all individuals to wear a mask on public transportation which includes school buses.

>When feasible, the District will assign students to a single specific bus and riders will be grouped with the same cohort of students for both to and from school.

>The District may limit students to one designated residential address or daycare for pick up and drop off.

>Bus passes will not be permitted unless for emergency or childcare circumstances.

>Hand sanitizer will be available for use upon entering the vehicles.

>Windows will be opened for ventilation when feasible.

>One student will be assigned per seat until seats are filled.  Students from the same household will sit together once other seats are occupied followed by students with the shortest ride time.
