The second section is a scored portion of the candidate's tryout score.

To be drug, tobacco, and alcohol free. 

To be my best at all practices and performances. 

To promote school spirit & sportsmanship 

To be a positive leader and role model for my team, school, and community. 

To be someone others can count on to be hardworking, dependable, and 

positive. 

To follow all safety guidelines set up by my coach. 

To be the type of team member that I would like to coach. 

To help others 

To be respectful to all those inside and outside SHHS. 

To constantly work at improving my dance skills. 

To keep academics as my number one priority. 

To follow through my commitment as a SHHS Thunderette. 

 

Initial: 

___    I am aware if I am not at practice prior to a game performance I am benched for that performance. 

   1 parent/guardian absence before a game day will be allowed & dancer can perform PENDING  they are prepared for the routine in memorization and all cleaning prior the absence.  

___    I am aware of KSHSAA rules administered listed in the handbook. 

___    I am aware a parent/guardian MUST excuse my absences before it occurs. 

___    I am aware that all practices and performances are REQUIRED unless ill or previously discussed with    the coach. 

___    I am aware that I must maintain passing grades to stay apart of the team.  

___    I am aware how I conduct myself on SOCIAL MEDIA could impact my status on the team & I            will hold myself accountable for my actions. 

___    I am aware of GAME DAY dress code at school and at the game. 

___     I will do my best at each game & practice to better myself and the team. 

 

I agree with the above pledge and have read the SHHS Thunderettes 

Handbook, I understand the choice and commitment I will be making by 

agreeing to dance for SHHS. I have fill out my applications with this pledge in mind.

I, parent/guardian acknowledge the commitment made upon making the team this includes; attendance, costs, and maintaining good grades.***please READ contract & initial below***

Parent/Guardian Contract 

I have read the SHHS Thunderettes Handbook set up for ALL Dancer candidates, & I will assist in every way to see that the standards and rules are enforced. 

I understand the commitment and choices my child and I will be making by agreeing to dance for SHHS. 

As a parent or guardian, I will full fill my duties in place by the Thunderettes Booster bi-laws.  

I agree to pay all balances due when notified or dancer will be withheld from performances until paid by due date and or items purchased for the dancer will not be given until they are paid for.  

While I expect the school authorities to exercise reasonable precautions to avoid injury, I understand they assume no financial obligation for an injury that may occur at anytime. 

With these things in mind, I give my child permission to participate as a dance team candidate for SHHS.
