FIRST SESSION
4:30 - 6:30 pm: Stormwater Regulation for Local Review Boards

Nearly every project that comes before a board for review has stormwater impacts to consider. This course examines the relationship between different types of development and the potential environmental damage from increased runoff, onsite best management practices, and the specific role of project review boards to mitigate stormwater impacts from new development with local, state, and federal regulations.

2 hours of training credit for members of Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeals.
2 hours of in-service training credit for Code Enforcement Officers.
Presenter: NYS Department of State.

SUPPER BREAK
6:30 - 7 pm
We will be providing a light supper for $6 per person. If you wish to partake in the provided food, please register below for this service so we know how much to order. You are also welcome to bring your own supper at no cost.

SECOND SESSION
7 - 8:30 pm: Intermunicipal Planning

Sharing the cost of a planning project with a neighboring community that shares common problems or goals can ensure a high-quality planning project that is useful for all involved communities at a lower cost to taxpayers. Intermunicipal planning projects bring together different stakeholders with unique perspectives, leading to more comprehensive solutions and often a unifying vision. This program provides an overview of the statutory abilities of local communities, case studies from across New York and an opportunity to exchange ideas for planning at an intermunicipal level.

1.5 hours of training credit for members of Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeals.
1 hour of in-service training credit for Code Enforcement Officers.
Presenter: NYS Department of State.

If you have questions about this training or are having trouble registering, please call the Cayuga County planning department at (315) 253-1276 or email us at planning@cayugacounty.us.
