Rochester Community Boating (aka Rochester Sailing and Boating Foundation) Grants will be awarded in five categories:1. Youth Scholarship (age 18 and under)2. Adult Scholarship (age 19 and over)3. Education - Clinics4. Regattas - Competitions5. 501c3 Organizations (that support the sailing and boating community)
Eligibility CriteriaOrganizations in the Greater Rochester NY area that are tax exempt under the Internal Revenue code section 501(c)(3) and Individuals who are residents of the Greater Rochester area may apply for a grant (funding).
Organizations and individuals are eligible for a maximum of two grants from RCB in one calendar year. RCB will consider grant requests ranging from: $100 to $5000.
RCB will not provide support for the following:• Annual giving campaigns• Capital building• Emergency funds• Religious activities• Political campaigns• Endowments• Loans• Operating deficits Application Submission DatesGrant applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. RCB board members will review all applications a minimum of four times annually (typically in February, May, August and November). Applications must be received prior to the application review month and a month or more before the program/activity start date that a grant is requested for.
RCB will evaluate proposals based on need, realistic budgets and clear measurable and appropriate goals and objectives.
FOR ALL GRANT REQUESTS EXCEPT YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS … Prior to receipt of funding, grant recipients are required to sign a grant agreement contract and must keep accurate records of fund use (expenses). Grant recipients must provide a brief written summary of the grant activities and expenses to RCB upon completion of the Grant program/activity. If Grant funds are to be used over more than a 12-month period then an interim 6-month Grant activity and expense Progress Report must be submitted to RCB for review.
