How might you indicate that you were awake later than usual last night?
*
"I slept late"
"I went to sleep late"
I might use either of the above without thinking about it.
Other:
When you hear someone say "Last night I slept at 10"...
They are saying they went to bed at 10pm, and that's how I would say it, too.
I have heard people say this to mean they went to bed at 10pm, but I would not say it this way myself.
This sounds ungrammatical to me and/or I've never heard this.
Clear selection
When you say "I slept late" could you be saying ...
I didn't go to bed until late at night
I didn't wake up until later than usual or later than I was supposed to.
Either, depending on the context.
Clear selection
I would like to suggest a nuance about this usage that is not captured above
