The MOMentum Games Grant provides direct financial support to Canadian athlete mothers competing at the upcoming Olympic or Paralympic Games.

With the Olympic Games beginning on February 6 and the Paralympic Games on March 6, athletes are entering the final stages of preparation, when the financial, logistical, and caregiving demands of high-performance sport intensify. This grant is designed to help offset costs related to childcare, caregiving, travel, and family support in the lead-up to and during the Games.

This is a support-based grant, not a competitive one.
All eligible athletes who apply will receive the grant.

Grant awards are reviewed and issued on a rolling basis, with recipients publicly announced ahead of their respective Games.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply if you:

• Are a Canadian athlete selected or in the process of being selected to compete at the upcoming Olympic or Paralympic Games, and
• Are a mother (including birth and non-birth parents)

MOMentum is committed to transparency and confidentiality.

• Information related to finances, costs, and gaps in support will be used only in aggregate to inform advocacy, research, and policy efforts.
• Individual responses will not be shared publicly or identified without your explicit consent.
• Your eligibility for this grant is not affected by how much you choose to share.
