Choosing an Instrument

Every student is required to choose two different instruments for this form.

Percussion Audition Information - ONLY FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PLAYING PERCUSSION (aka drums).

Due to an excessive number of percussionists in the CCPS middle school band programs, ALL CCPS elementary schools will be capping enrollment at TWO percussion (bells) students per grade level.

In the event that more than two students sign up to play bells, there will be an audition to determine which students are accepted. The top two auditioning students will play bells, and the other students will have to play their second choice instrument.

Just like a football team can not function if every player is a quarterback, a band needs "players at every position".
