NICAR Commons is a space for informal, conversation-based sessions.

NICAR Commons sessions are:
* 1-hour long with 10-minute breaks in between.
* Designed for small groups: There will only be 10-15 chairs, but people are welcome to sit/stand nearby.
* Run by a facilitator who comes with an agenda and guides the conversation.

What types of things make for good NICAR Commons sessions?
*This is a great space for discussions you might not hold in a typical panel setting and share things in a more personal environment.
*Alternately, a facilitator can just pose a question and create a space for people to ponder it. We found that personal questions really resonated and elicited honest answers. If you're struggling with something, chances are other folks are, too.
