Your name, first and last *
Your phone number (will not be shared with anyone--used only to contact you in the event of major changes to the contest.) *
We will have 2 categories this year: meat based chili and vegetarian chili. Which will you make? *
There is NO entry fee to compete. Contestants are asked to bring a crock pot of fully cooked, hot chili to the supper shed Saturday at 11:45 to be judged. Chili will be judged by fair-goers who pay a small donation to sample the chili. The winner will get a trophy.  Entries will be capped at 15 total, and entries will close on Monday, July 22 for planning purposes.  No "walk on" chili will be allowed. *
NO NUTS.
To help keep our fair-goers as safe as possible, do not include nuts of any kind in your recipe.  This includes peanut butter and nut extracts or other ingredients that are made with nuts.
*
Recipe Rule:  To follow food safety regulations, each contestant MUST bring a clearly written/printed recipe that lists all chili ingredients and must display the recipe next to their crock pot. Contestants who do not bring the recipe will not be allowed to compete. *
Temperature and serving:  Contestants will bring their crock pot of fully cooked, hot chili to the supper shed at 11:45 on Saturday at 11:45.  PLEASE DO NOT  BRING YOUR CHILI TO THE SUPPER SHED BEFORE 11:30 am. We will not have the volunteers on hand to deal with it.

The crock pots may be plugged in to help maintain heat and food safety.  Contestants will remain with their chili and serve the chili to the judges from 12-12:45.  The winner will be crowned at 12:50.
*
Serving and "sales": Contestants will have access to a hand-washing station and will be given gloves to wear when serving the chili. Contestants are asked to bring their own serving spoon to be able to portion out samples (into jello-shot size cups that FOHD will supply) for the judges. Chili remaining after judging will be available for sale in larger bowls. The contestant agrees to allow FOHD to sell the chili, with funds going to help support operating costs for FOHD. *
I have read all the above rules and agree to follow them.  If I have questions, I can email fohd at fosterohd@gmail.com.  *
I will hit the SUBMIT button below, or FOHD will not be able to see my registration. *
