Each actor in the show will have multiple aspects they need to provide to the show, so attention in rehearsals is mandatory. A show cannot function without every single member working together. If you have questions at any point, please bring them to the director’s attention.
Every member of the cast is expected to be on time. It is expected that everyone is respectful of one another, their time, and their talents. Any kind of disrespect will not be tolerated.
The actors will be representing themselves and the rest of the cast and the Theatre Company as a whole. As a result, do not participate in the use of recreational drugs, alcohol, and other substances before or during rehearsals and performances. If this becomes a problem, you may be removed from the production.
Because we will have only two months to create the production, actors can only miss 2 group rehearsals (except for special circumstances). If a third rehearsal is missed without adequate cause, you may be removed from the production. Actors must notify the director of their intended absence a minimum of 24 hours prior to rehearsal unless it is an emergency. If you have concerns during or outside of rehearsal time, please reach out to the director.
Unless you are requested to do so by the director, do not alter your physical appearance (cutting or dying your hair, for example). For decisions such as these, please run them past the director first, as it could drastically alter the characters you’re playing.
