LocalHood's of Ohel Leah Synagogue Tour 👀👣with Prof. Julian Groves
In brief: The synagogue lies at the center of Jewish social and religious life in Hong Kong for over ​a century.
It is fully independent and has members from across the Jewish diaspora. The name Ohel Leah commemorates Leah Sassoon, the mother of the Sassoon brothers who donated the land for building the Synagogue.
The Sassoons were among the earliest Sephardic merchants from India to settle in Hong Kong during the mid to late 19th century.

Meeting point: Entry of the 70 Robinson Rd, Mid-Levels
After the tour, those interested can join us for lunch at the restaurant of the Synagogue.  
IMP NOTE: YOU are requested to bring along your HKID for the event as it will be asked at the entrance of the Synagogue.
