2. Naloxone/Narcan Training

• What it is: A harm-reduction training that teaches how to administer Naloxone/Narcan, a medication that reverses opioid overdoses.
• Key skills learned:
• How to recognize an opioid overdose.
• Safe administration of Naloxone/Narcan.
• Using fentanyl & xylazine test strips to detect dangerous substances.
• Bonus: Participants receive two free doses of Narcan to carry with them.
3. Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Training

• What it is: A suicide prevention training that teaches individuals how to recognize warning signs and intervene.

• How to Question someone about suicidal thoughts.
• How to Persuade them to seek help.
• How to Refer them to appropriate mental health services.
4. NASPA Certified Peer Educator (CPE) Training
📅 March 17 - March 19 (Spring Break) | ⏰ 9 AM - 1 PM daily | 📍 Virtual (Zoom)
• What it is: A national peer education training that equips students with leadership and mental health advocacy skills
• Active listening & crisis response techniques.
• Behavior change strategies for peer support.
• Bystander intervention & inclusivity training.
• Program development & public speaking skills for campus mental health initiatives.
• Bonus: Upon completion, participants receive a NASPA CPE Certification, valuable for resumes, medical school applications, and leadership roles.
