2015 WI Women Fish Awards
WI Women Fish has been giving awards at Fish Camp since its inception. As we grow, so have our awards, not only in the award itself but also with their meaning.  We would like to create a forum for club member input. We do not give every award every year. Sometimes we create a new award if a situation renders itself to be award worthy.  Here are awards given in the past:  (also - only fill in the ones you'd like - you do not need to fill them all in).

Most improved angler - For the member who has improved their angling skills the most during the past year
Most improved boater - For the member who has improved their boating skills the most during the past year.
Rookie of the year - The new angler or new member who starts fishing and put time in on the water to improve their skills.
Meritorious service award - This will from now on be referred to at the Teresa Zais award. Teresa spent many hours each year working on WI Women Fish. From Fish Camp to the data base to on line registration, Teresa worked hard at improving the club and keeping it going. We are happy to name this awards after her.
Mentor award - For the member who reaches out to help other club members improve their skills and get out on the water.
Jo Curry Award ( Most determined angler) - This award does not go to the angler who catches the most fish, or the biggest, or the one help others. It goes to the one, who against all obstacles, hardships, difficulties and setbacks,  continues to get time on the water to enjoy her passion, even tho its not easy.
Angler of the year - Given to the person who earns the most Master Angler Awards during the year. Award is a name plate on the perpetual trophy, possession of the perpetual trophy for one year, and a St Croix rod.
Leadership award - Given to one member who creates an event to facilitate a group fishing outing for members of WI Women Fish, either an official or non official event, and displays additional leadership qualities throughout out the year.
Senior Master Angler - This award is a Master Angler Patch. We realize that many of you have been collecting Master Angler pins for some time and have a drawer with many on them. For this award, if earn 10 Master Angler Awards, and turn in 9 pins, you will receive a custom WI Women gold Master Angler pin and a matching decal for your vehicle or boat.  After all, a gal can only pin on so much hardware and in order to keep buying pins and having them sit in a drawer, we will allow them to be recycled.
