Holding Safe Spaces of Expression

FEM. DES. aims to address the lack of agile and dynamic frameworks in the field of urban design and placemaking, which hampers the development and implementation of gender-sensitive practices. Our goal is to create adaptable and responsive tools and frameworks that effectively utilize collected data, best practices, and expert insights to enhance the capacity to foster gender equality in cities through thoughtful urban design, and to make gender-equal cities systemic.

“This network is our safe haven where we foster empowerment and address collective injustices, not only within the built environment but also in the world around us.”
