PSI has a long history of partnering with shellfish producers for applied research and focused education to ensure sustainable shellfish populations and healthy ecosystems.  Current NOAA funded research is being conducted by PSI and partners to examine high summer mortality events, specifically among triploid Pacific oysters in the Pacific Northwest.  This reporting form will be used to inform PSI of mortality hotspots within the PNW and to create a data platform to visualize non-proprietary mortality metrics. Current NOAA funding also enables financial support for Pacific oyster health testing (see “Testing Opportunities” at the end of the survey).
