K-12 Substance Use Prevention and Intervention Professional Learning Interest Survey
The Oregon Department of Education offers an in-person K-12 professional development course for educators, administrators and school mental health professionals to deliver substance use prevention education as part of health instruction, focusing on evidence-based, fear-free and student-centered strategies. These requirements, articulated by Oregon Department of Education's rules and standards, follow the most current research, leading national medical institutions, and Oregon Law. The course will introduce core skills and knowledge to deliver effective substance use prevention education, review new lessons and other resources available through ODE, and review best practices in school-wide substance use prevention and intervention.

NOTE: There are two in-person, 6-hour trainings available. One is focused on grades K-5 and one is focused on grades 6-12. You will be asked to indicate which training(s) you are interested in below.
