Workshop II: An Introduction to NGS Applications & Analysis
Date: July 6-July 10, 2020

This workshop will focus on next generation sequencing (NGS) and the analysis of NGS-derived (short read) data. After introducing the different NGS technologies and applications, participants will run through a sample NGS analysis pipeline including quality assessment and preprocessing of NGS data, mapping sequencing reads, identification of differentially expressed transcripts, clustering and GO enrichment. It is assumed that those participating will be familiar with working on the command line or attended the workshop "Biology on the Command Line" (June 22-June 26). We do not expect you to be familiar with NGS analysis specifically.

Please complete the questions below if you wish to take part in the  "An Introduction to NGS Applications & Analysis"  workshop.

Closing date for applications: June 29, 2020
