The Students Skill Development Activities Committee is organising an expert session on " A Practical Dive into Augmented Reality for Industry and Entrepreneurship ".

Augmented Reality (AR) overlays digital information, objects, or environments onto the real world, enhancing the way we perceive and interact with our surroundings. Unlike Virtual Reality, which immerses users in a completely digital space, AR blends virtual elements with the physical environment in real time. From gaming and education to healthcare and industrial training, AR is rapidly transforming industries and reshaping everyday experiences.

This session will not only cover the fundamentals of AR and its distinction from VR and MR but also give students hands-on exposure to AR development. A live demonstration using 8th Wall (browser-based, no downloads required) will showcase how to build an AR project, such as placing a floating 3D logo on real-world surfaces with lighting, animations, and interactive effects  

This will be an interactive session. Students are requested to bring their own Devices to actively participate in live demonstrations and hands-on activities.
