Each year, thousands of women in America are diagnosed with breast cancer. However, thanks to early detection, 96 percent of women are surviving this potentially devastating disease. In 2018, nearly 200 Chicago landmarks, including Willis Tower, The John Hancock Center, Soldier Field, Buckingham Fountain, The Lincoln Park Zoo, The Illinois Tollway OASES and O’Hare and Midway International Airports participated in our Light the Way to Find a Cure™ Campaign.
We hope you will join the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF) in recognizing National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by lighting your property pink or displaying a Breast Cancer Awareness flag starting October 1st through the end of the month. The illumination will show your support for the many women who face breast cancer and the unified pink glow of the Chicago skyline will serve as a reminder for women to schedule their annual mammogram. It is our goal to not only have every building in Chicago's skyline illuminated pink as part of our 2020 campaign, but to see Breast Cancer Awareness flags waving brightly on flagpoles across the city and suburbs.
By joining our Light the Way to Find a Cure™ campaign, the pink lights and displayed flags of your building will be
seen by millions of women across Chicagoland.
Will you join our Light the Way to Find a Cure™ campaign and light your building pink?
