Thank you for your interest in running a panel or event for Anime Detour!
All panel submissions are welcome at Anime Detour, and Programming staff endeavors to schedule as many programming submissions as time and room allows. However, with limited space, submissions are generally prioritized on the following basis:
- Panels presented by Guests of Honor and invited acts
- Panels presented by Anime Detour staff members, whose time may be limited by other responsibilities
- Panels which discuss or involve Anime, Manga, or other Japanese media/related fandom activities
- Panels which discuss or involve other Asian media (Manhwa, Donghua, K-Pop, etc.)/related fandom activities
- Panels which discuss or involve other miscellaneous media/topics unrelated to the above (Disney or other Western animation, MCU, etc.)
When submitting a potential panel, we encourage individuals to be as thorough as possible when outlining what that panel will look like - requests which outline a concrete way of filling the hour (this could be a list of discussion topics, a specific activity/game, or even a link to a draft of a PowerPoint presentation) are likelier to be scheduled.
Additionally, while Programming staff does their best to accommodate scheduling requests, panelist(s) with wider availability (days and times) are likelier to be scheduled.
Important Dates:- Programming Submission Deadline - JANUARY 15, 2026 at 11:59pm CST
- Panelists Notifications - Early February, 2026
- Final Schedule - Early March, 2026
