NYIC/CERC VOLUNTEER FORM - Key to the City (October 21-25, 2015)
Please fill out and submit this form if you are interested in providing volunteer support during any of the days of the New York Immigration Coalition's Key to the City event on October 21 -25, 2015. This multi-day event will provide consular ID information and services; information about various social, educational, health, financial resources; and on the final day - "Family Resource Day" - a free legal clinic.

The NYIC needs the following types of volunteers for the event:

OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS
to distribute flyers in commercial areas near the location of Key to the City

LOGISTICS VOLUNTEERS
to support registration, ushering and interpretation at Key to the City. Must be fluent in Spanish.

LEGAL CLINIC VOLUNTEERS
to provide legal screenings and/or consultations; to provide interpretation at the legal clinic. To provide services around legal screenings and/or consultations, you must be an immigration attorney, immigration paralegal, a general attorney/paralegal, a BIA accredited individual or a law student. Fluency in Spanish is a requirement for all legal clinic volunteers.

The New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) will manage the legal clinic, and will supervise all legal service volunteers and legal service interpreters. OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS - Please indicate if you would be interested in supporting the promotion of Key to the City by flyering on the commercial streets of any of the following areas for at least one hour between October 20 and October 24. *
Volunteers can choose when they flyer between October 20 and 24 and can either pick up flyers from the NYIC office or print out copies on their own. There are no language requirements for Outreach Volunteers but being able to speak Spanish can be a strong asset.

LOGISTICS - Please indicate if you would be interested in supporting the logistics of Key to the City (e.g., registration, ushering, interpretation) during one or more of the following days. *
Logistics volunteers at this Key to the City must be fluent in Spanish.

LEGAL CLINIC - Please indicate if you are interested in volunteering in any of the following roles at the "Family Resource Day" legal clinic that will take place on the final day of Key to the City, October 25. *
Volunteers at the legal clinic will be expected to volunteer from 8:30am - 1:30pm on October 25. Legal clinic volunteers must be fluent in Spanish.
