Growing up I had a poor relationship with food. Food was my comfort and I ate when I was happy, sad, anxious and stressed. When I finally had kids of my own I had an overwhelming plate and I struggled with TIME. Working full time, football, baseball, cheer, tutoring, music, and the many activities my kids are involved in left no time for me. I focused every moment I had on my family and take-out was always an easier route. I was 60 lbs heavier, unhealthy, exhausted, I struggled with depression, insomnia and low self esteem. What happens when your motor is not being kept up? Eventually your car won't run.
It wasn’t until I realized the importance of taking care of myself and fueling my body with the proper nutrition, that things started to change for my family. For the past 6 years I have been meal prepping and filling my own cup. Preparing ahead has played a huge role in my 60 pound weight loss.
I was recieving frequent messages inquiring about my meal preps. I finally decided to jump out of my comfort zone and start meal prepping for those who need help with their nutrition. I am in the process of expanding my menu to keep it interesting and healthy. I have been meal prepping for SCV locals for a few years now.
The name Blooming Meal Preps came to me while thinking of all the growth I’ve experienced the last few years. The flower is a blooming bell pepper.
