Academy Women Writers Workshops Registration (and military-connected women/veterans)
Are you having trouble telling your story? Are you wondering where to get started? Join us for inspirational generative workshops to get started and/or to advance your story. You'll receive a handout before the workshops giving you ideas to think about and a few exercises to try if you want to practice ahead of time (not required). Then come to the online Zoom workshop. We'll read inspirational work, talk about the writing techniques used in the work also discussed in the advance handout, and have timed writing based off of prompts provided in each session. Plan to come for about an hour to an hour-and-a-half. Have a notebook, pen, and a writing appetite. A final workshop focuses on how to revise and improve work you've been working on after the workshops and have prepared for submission.
