In conjunction with Barbour County School's attendance policy 8210 and the WVBE Policy 4110, an allowance of ten (10) parent notes per academic school year is permitted. According to WVBE, any student that is absent 18 days or more with or without parent notes are considered chronically absent. They have missed 10% of the school year.  *
