St. Joseph vs. Portage Central *
St. Joseph is 7-1 and the Bears can clinch a share of the SMAC West title with a win. Portage Central has already locked up a share of the division crown, but a perfect season is also on the line for the Mustangs. Portage Central wins, 38-35.
Battle Creek St. Phillip vs. Lawrence *
Two of the best teams in 8-man football square off. Lawrence, the defending state champs, have had Battle Creek St. Phillip's number of late, winning its last three against the Fighting Tigers. Lawrence wins, 50-41.
Delton Kellogg vs. Schoolcraft *
After a hot 5-1 start, Delton Kellogg has fallen back a bit with two straight losses against Watervliet and Saugatuck. Up next is Schoolcraft, who has destroyed nearly every opponent this year. The Eagles are loaded on both sides of the ball. Schoolcraft wins, 42-28.
Decatur vs. Lawton *
Decatur needs a win to make the playoffs. Lawton is already in at 6-2, but there's no doubt the Blue Devils would love to knock off the Raiders in the regular season finale, especially after losing last year, 42-6. Lawton wins, 28-27.
Three Rivers vs. Vicksburg *
Three Rivers topped Vicksburg in the regular season last year, but the Bulldogs returned the favor in the first round of the playoffs. Vicksburg's offense is too much this time around. Vicksburg wins, 35-21.
Otsego vs. Plainwell *
In recent years, the Otsego and Plainwell rivalry has been one of the biggest games of the season because of what has been at stake. While there's still bragging rights on the line heading into this year's matchup, Plainwell (4-4) isn't likely to make the playoffs and Otsego (2-6) has struggled in 2015. Plainwell wins, 21-20.
Sturgis vs. Edwardsburg *
Sturgis sits at 6-2 and the Trojans are back in the postseason after missing out last year. Edwardsburg, who already won the Wolverine Conference title, looks poised to make another deep run in the postseason. Can the Trojans slow down the Eddies? No. Edwardsburg wins, 35-17.
Portage Northern vs. Benton Harbor *
Both teams sit at 4-4 heading into the regular season finale, which would've seemed unfathomable at the start of the season. Portage Northern wins, 28-21.
Mattawan vs. Kalamazoo Central *
Mattawan was crushed by Stevensville Lakeshore last week, but the Wildcats still sit at 4-4 on the year. Week 9 won't be easy, considering Kalamazoo Central has won two straight. Mattawan wins, 28-27.
Paw Paw vs. Dowagiac *
Paw Paw sits at 4-4 and the Redskins could possibly -- not likely -- squeak into the playoffs with a win. Dowagiac is coming off a narrow win over Otsego and the Chieftains can clinch a playoff berth with a win. Upset time. Paw Paw wins, 24-21.
