Trainer

Mr Chew Chun Yong is an HRD Corp Certified Trainer and currently serves as an Assistant
Professor at Heriot-Watt University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Actuarial
Science from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in 2010 and completed his Master
of Science at the University of Malaya in 2016. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in
Science at UTAR, focusing on the Lambert W Function and Its Applications.

Since 2012, he has been a member of the Actuarial Society Malaysia (ASM). He has
extensive experience conducting various training courses and workshops, including
Microsoft Excel for Reporting and Analysis, Microsoft Excel VBA, Virtual Microsoft Word
Course, Data Analysis and Interactive Dashboard Reporting in Excel, Efficient Workflow
with Microsoft Office, Data Analytics Using MS Excel, One-Day Microsoft Excel Hands-On
Workshop, Business Data Analytics with Excel, Elementary Data Analysis Using Microsoft
Excel, and Research Collaboration with MTC - Data Analysis Workshop. Additionally, he
has successfully completed two projects on the Development of Reporting Tools – Excel
Add-In and Development of Inventory System.

He has also facilitated workshops such as Visualizing Actuarial (VBA) for the Malaysian
Actuarial Student Association (MASA) - MASA Academy 1.0 and Excel VBA for HWUM
Society of Actuarial Science (HWUMSAS).
