Join the Performing Troupe for the African Heritage Festival 2026!
Ngoma Y’Africa Cultural Center invites performers, artists, musicians, dancers, poets, and creative groups to audition and become part of our official performance troupe for the African Heritage Festival 2026— a dynamic cultural celebration honoring the rich diversity, traditions, and beauty of the African continent.
This vibrant, family-friendly festival is FREE to the public and will feature a colorful mix of live performances, storytelling, music, dance, poetry, art, crafts, and a bustling vendor market showcasing local businesses and entrepreneurs across fashion, food, beauty, wellness, and more.
🎭 Auditions – Show Us Your Talent!You can audition in one of three ways:

LIVE (in person) or ONLINE (via Zoom) on Friday, May 25th, 2026

OR submit a prerecorded video by Friday, May 25th at 12:00 PM (noon)
Each audition will be evaluated by a panel of judges on a 1–10 scale based on:

Showmanship
-
Creativity
-
Stage Presence
⛔ Please note: Performances must be clean and family-appropriate. No profanity, vulgarity, or explicit content will be allowed. Violating this rule may disqualify you.
👧🏽 Applicants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and provide a signed consent form.
💃🏿 We also welcome youth performers! Our Youth Group will meet every Friday in April, May, and June from 6–7 PM to rehearse and explore African culture through arts, crafts, and dance.

Rehearsals for the official troupe begin Friday, May 2nd and run weekly through July 10th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

💰 This is a paid performance opportunity. Commitment to weekly rehearsals is required.
