Fruit Tree Removal Cost Share Application
Fruit trees are a major bear attractant in the late summer and autumn months. To reduce the risk of human-bear conflicts in the Elk Valley we have launched a cost share program to incentivize landowners to remove fruit trees from their properties. We will pay $400 for the first fruit tree removed and $150 dollars for every subsequent fruit tree removed (up to a total of 5 fruit trees per property).
