The course is designed to train individuals who offer career assistance and guidance services in Career Development Facilitation (CDF) by focusing on career development theory and model; student/client diversity; assessment; ethical and legal issues; labor market information and resources; employability skills; and use of technology.

Upon completion, students will be able to:

1. Identify and use resources to assist students with career decision making
2. Access and interpret employment trends and labor market information
3. Describe and assess how to apply career development theory to practice
4. Demonstrate competence in career assessment administration and interpretation
5. Assess your areas of strength or weakness by utilizing appropriate career assessments
6. Learn and apply criteria to analyze career development programs
7. Apply knowledge to work as Career Development Facilitators

You are required to read the chapters in your manual.
All assignments that must be submitted and evaluated as “pass” to complete this course.
Each topic has 1-2 assignments tied to that topic (Combination of journals, quizzes, projects, and interviews).
Only the instructor will be able to read and respond to these submissions.

• I will be able to access a video conferencing system.

COURSE
• I will log on to our learning site as required.
• I will take the time necessary time to complete all assignments in a timely and quality manner.
• I agree to contact my instructor if I am feeling overwhelmed or falling behind, or if a major issue arises.
• I realize that I must complete the course within a 12-month period.

CONTACT MEETINGS
