Climate Justice is Migrant Justice Workshops
The United Nations annual climate change negotiations (COP26) will be held in Glasgow between 1-12 November 2021, which is a chance to build the movement for climate justice in Scotland and beyond.

The current climate crisis is embedded in racism, capitalism and other structural inequalities. The Home Office hostile environment policy is one manifestation of this. I hear you ask, what is the connection between devastating hurricanes in the Caribbean, flash floods in India and typhoons in the Philippines on the one hand with asylum seeker hotels detention in Glasgow and the discontinuation of their daily £5 the only source of income on the other?!

To answer these and other questions, Migrants Organising for Rights & Empowerment (MORE) with the support of Tripod and the COP26 Coalition  is organising a series of fully subsidised  online workshops the last Monday of each month from January to November 2021 @6pm . The series is designed specifically for asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and allies to explore the connections and historic links between Migrant Justice and Climate Change.

By filling out this form, you can express interest to take part in the workshop series.  We will contact you with more information about how to take part. In this form we also ask you about what you need to make these sessions more accessible to you, e.g. translation or data top ups.
