Sleep Under the Stars Registration: May 11
New Castle County’s “Sleep Under the Stars” events are designed as a fun, free opportunity for families to enjoy the outdoors in our wonderful County parks.  Planned activities for the “Sleep Under the Stars” events include: Camping, bonfires, hay rides, food, games, crafts, as well as other activities for all ages.

Food vendors will be available on Saturday, selling lunch and dinner items, or you may bring your own food. Please remember, no pets, charcoal grills, or open fires are permitted. New Castle County reserves the right to inspect coolers, bags, and boxes. For more information, call 302-395-5624 or email mbegatto@nccde.org.

Pre-register by May 9, 4pm. You may also register at the event. Check-in is between 10am-8pm on Saturday. All campers must be packed and site cleaned by 12noon on Sunday.

Children of all ages are welcome, provided an adult is present. For every four (4) children and/or teenagers, a parent or an adult 25 years or older is required to stay on the premises.
Hold Harmless / Photo Release & Consent
Registrant(s) hereby releases New Castle County from all injury and any liability of any kind arising from use and occupancy of County property and during the Sleep Under The Stars Camp-out and associated activities and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless New Castle County, its agents, or servants. In no event shall New Castle County be liable for any damage or injury to registrant or any agents or employee of registrant or to any person coming upon the premises in connection with the registrant’s use and occupancy of the premises. Registrant acknowledges that it shall reimburse New Castle County for any and all damage to New Castle County property, its agents, and/or its servants as a result of the use and occupancy of the premises (ordinary wear and tear excepted) by registrant, its agents, or servants, or by any person coming upon the premises during the registrant’s use as an invitee or licensee of the registrant. Registrant agrees that the rights and obligations under the permit and this agreement shall inure to and be binding on its successors and assigns.

PHOTO RELEASE AND CONSENT for Photography, Video, Artistic Rendering and/or Information:
I consent for all purposes to the reproduction and/or use of photographs, video and/or artistic rendering of me and/or information I have provided during interviews with New Castle County’s Department of Community Services, with or without the use of my name, by New Castle County or by any periodical or other publication in all forms and media and in all manners, including advertising, social media outlets, trade, display, editorial art and exhibition. In giving this consent, I release New Castle County’s Department of Community Services from liability for any violation of any personal or proprietary right I may have in connection with such reproduction or use. I am more than eighteen years of age.
