A Dog's Life encourages the prospective owners of listed breeds (Control of Dogs Regulations 1998) to familiarise themselves with the regulations enforceable by law. In summary these are, that restricted breed owners should at all times ensure that when they are in public places, their dogs are muzzled, on a short strong lead and under the control of a person older than 16 years of age, capable of controlling the dog.

The listed breeds are: American Pit Bull Terriers Bull Mastiff, Doberman Pinscher, English Bull Terrier, German Shepherd, Japanese Akita, Japanese Tosa, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bandog and crosses of the above.

IMPORTANT: In the event that the dog does not work out or has to be rehomed for any reason the dog MUST be returned to A Dog's Life and under no circumstances should the dog be rehomed by the adopter or passed on to anyone else.

I understand that my details will be retained on file, but they will not be passed to other organisations. They will, however, be shared with selected volunteers of the organisation in order to arrange a home check. I give permission to A Dog's Life and their volunteers to contact me by phone or email during the adoption process. *
