The Highlander Polar Plunge® Fest benefiting Special Olympics Virginia, is hosted by the City of Radford PD. It has become a unique and crazy tradition each February, the plunge is open to the entire community including Radford University alumni, RU and VT students, youth groups, —anyone that wants to help us raise cold hard cash! Raise a minimum of $50 and you can freeze the day in the icy cold New River. Prizes for top fundraisers and outrageous attire.

Our very popular Unified Basketball, Swimming, Bowling league and Walking Club have begun. Volunteers are still needed for Swimming on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Bowling can always use subs on Thursday nights also.
Spring track and field practices will starts in March with the area competition at Radford University's Cupp Stadium will be held Saturday, April 18. We will need volunteers to be Buddies, Escorts and Volunteer2Cheer at the track meet and also volunteers to help with the practices.
Spring softball will be offered in April and times and dates will be determined. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer in these two areas by continuing below your information so we can email you with announcements.
