Thank you for your interest in Summer Academy. Completion of this form indicates an interest in Summer Academy. Please complete this form for each student you are enrolling.

Courses are online-based with certified teacher support and class times provided July 6th to August 3rd, Monday through Thursdays, from 8am to noon at Central High School in the library. Courses will open as early as June 28th and will close at the end of the day August 3rf. Orientation will be held July 6th at 8am and 10am so students can meet teachers and troubleshoot any start-up issues. Attendance is required 2 hours per day for those re-taking a course and optional for those taking an initial course.

Credit Recovery courses are offered at reduced or no cost this year to TCAPS students due to COVID-19 funding.

The cost is $150 per semester course for initial courses. Partial scholarships are available if you qualify for free and reduced lunch. Enrollment is official when payment is received and log-ins will be issued as early as June 28th or upon receipt of payment. The final date to drop a class and receive a refund less the $50 enrollment fee is July 15th. Drops after the July 15th date will not be issued a refund or any fees.

Course Selection

Please indicate the course or courses you are interested in taking. A credit recovery course is for students who have already taken the class and have scored 50% or higher. A full course is for students taking the course for the first time or who scored less than 50% in the course in the previous attempt. If you are unsure, please contact your school counselor and discuss your course options.

Depending on the course, most students can complete one course in the 4 weeks putting in 2 hours per workday or two courses if putting in 4 hours per workday. Your assigned teachers will inform you and your parent/guardian, weekly, if you are on pace to finish the course.

Note: Additional courses (more than 2) will require either counselor approval or can be approved within Summer Academy once a course is completed (additional course fee applies for initial courses).
