On September 14th, 2019 at The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach, CA the 1st Latinx Games Festival signaled an industry-wide call to action or Latinx representation throughout the video game industry. The foundation of this event was to learn from and connect with Latinx game development professionals and industry veterans, to uplift and promote Latinx game developers from around the world, while nurturing the next generation of Latinx game developers for years to come. We accomplished our goal, we networked, learned from one another and grew stronger. Hand-in-hand with an unprecedented amount of support from video game industry titans like Niantic, Nintendo, Xbox, Amazon Games, Avalanche Studios and Unity, the 1st and only independently produced event focused on Latinx game development, Latinx Games Festival was a success. The 2nd annual Latinx Games Festival is a 2 Day Event that takes place on November 21-22, 2020 at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach, California.
