Purpose of this Questionnaire:
- Help you to find the right coaching opportunities
- Help you with Coach Development opportunities
- Allow you to communicate directly with the NCU and Cricket Ireland Coaches Associations
- Value and recognise the coaching that you do
From the responses to 2015's questionnaires, we were able to:
- Find out more about our coaches in the Northern Cricket Union, provide you with 'a voice' to speak directly to us and allow us to listen to your feedback.
- Held a NCU and CICA Coaching Forum, which was an opportunity for coaches to speak directly to us.
- Launch a new
www.cricketshop.ie website for coaches to buy equipment (new products being added all the time).
- Launch a new online ticketing/purchasing system to attend events / purchase or renew your CICA Annual Membership.
- Increase our online coverage on Facebook and Twitter with more drills, latest ideas and also opportunities for clubs / individual coaches to gain recognition for the work they are doing.
- Organise three cricket workshops in the NCU region (Power Hitting, Wicket-keeping Strength and Conditioning) and a Club-Life Weekend Coaches Day.
- Provide shadowing opportunities for club coaches throughout the regional and national pathways.
- Run two First Aid Courses and two Safeguarding Courses.
- Run four Welcome to Coaching Courses (Wallace High School and Bangor Grammar School) - approx. 80 people attending.
- Run one UKCC Level 2 Certificate Coaching Course - 22 people attending.
- Run one UKCC Level 3 Performance Coach Course - 5 NCU Coaches attending as part of a 15-strong contingent from Cricket Ireland.
The results of this questionnaire will be used by the NCU and Cricket Ireland to allocate services and funding to improve cricket coaching in the region.
