P.S.186Q Castlewood Town Hall 11/27/24
Hello Castlewood Families! Our next school safety meeting will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Castlewood. This will be our Town Hall meeting open to parents. We will be joined by the FDNY for a fire safety presentation for parents. Please RSVP below by November 20thto let us know if you will be attending. 

Topics covered in the presentation include, but not limited to:
-fire facts/statistics
-common causes of fires (e.g. cooking, e-bikes, electrical, candles, heaters, etc.)
-proper usage of lithium batteries
-smoke and combination alarms
-knowing the type of building you live in
-escape plans, based on the type of building they live in
-closing doors if there is a fire
-importance of obtaining a fire extinguisher in your home
-overloading power strips

We will also review the purpose of the school safety committee
