    Team Descriptions

    Education Team: Volunteers on this team will assist in developing and facilitating the educational programming and curriculum. Topics include but are not limited to awareness, prevention, healthy relationships, consent, empathy, sexual assault, bullying, harassment, nonviolent communication, bystander intervention, rape myths,victim blaming, rape culture, dating violence, etc. Presentations and curriculum will be targeted for a variety of populations including at risk. Experience conducting research, and with MS PowerPoint (or other presentation program) are welcomed Outreach/ Event Planning Team: Volunteers will assist in coordinating events and activities that bring awareness to IV and prevention. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying budgetary needs, establishing dates, determining locations, acquiring necessary permits, coordinating transportation and parking (if necessary), arrange for catering and decorations, arrange for speakers and presenters, and other logistics necessary to hold an event. Team members will work closely with a marketing team to develop a themes and/or messages for the event, develop outreach materials, and promote the event to gain support and attendees. Experience planning events or developing marketing materials are welcomed.
