Elixir.LDN - Talk Submissions 2017
Elixir.LDN 2017 is actively looking for speakers.

The conference puts the Elixir community front and centre.

While we accept talk proposals around any topic related to the Elixir and BEAM ecosystem, we’d like to emphasise specific topics we’re interested in:

- Life on a real-world Elixir project: if you’re working with Elixir on a commercial basis, we’d like to hear about your experience. Pros and cons, learning hurdles, aha moments, team dynamics.
- Contribution stories: if you run an open-source Elixir project with other contributors or if you joined an existing project, we’d like you to tell us about your experience. Was it straightforward? How about the learning curve? Is there any advice you’d like to share with other members of the community?
- Teaching Elixir: if you’ve been involved in teaching Elixir (either face to face or by preparing training material of any kind), it would be great if you could share your experience. Many teams are adopting the technology and more often than not stumble on the same roadblocks. This is your chance to help them.
- Practical solutions: how to approach everyday problems leveraging the strength of the language. The purpose here is not just to showcase a library, but to outline a problem and explain the details of a solution, guiding the audience through the mental process that lead you to it.
- The business case: proving the point and presenting compelling arguments for Elixir adoption: hiring, training, operations, costs and maintenance are just some of the aspects that influence this process. Talking about them helps the community grow.

Special consideration will be given to proposals from candidates from under-represented categories in the software development community.

The slots are planned to be 20 and 45mins.
