About this course:

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in adolescents. This 7.5-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Courses are only open to those who live/work in Missouri. The course is valued at $170 per person but is provided to you at no cost by Missouri’s Department of Mental Health. 

By registering for a course, you agree to the following:

Participants must complete 2 hours of self-paced training 24 hours prior to the course date, which will be sent via email 2 weeks in advance. Please check Spam, if not received.

The 5.5-hour portion of the course is a small, group-interactive training. Participants will join via Zoom and should be prepared to be present on camera and actively engaged for the whole course.

If Zoom support is needed, participants will contact Kylie prior to the course.

Registration cancellations must be made one week in advance of the course date.

Failure to attend the course or communicate cancellations may affect future registrations.

-Computer with microphone and speakers
