REQUIREMENTS
1. Your project must center around mutual aid, i.e. the idea that we can all use our skills, talents, and privileges to support, lean on, and lift up our communities. This could be anything: community gardens, ride-share systems, at-home IT support, skillshares, grocery delivery, and a billion other ideas. If there’s an issue in your community that you care about, we want to help you build and develop a solution.
2. Applications must include a plan. To approve your proposal, give us an idea of what you’ll need to accomplish your goal. How much money, material, and labor will you need? Do you have to get permissions or fill out paperwork for your project? What ideal end result will your actions have in your community?
3. You must be a high school student or 2025 high school graduate in Illinois’ Ninth District. If you’re unsure if you fall in district lines, check out this map.If you have any questions, feel free to shoot us an email at hello@katforillinois.com.
