Saturday, October 7th:
*7:30am: continental breakfast
* 8am: Meet at the Gurney
Community Center for an overview of the training, and an interactive introduction
to sustainable trail building and maintenance techniques.
*12pm: lunch (provided)
* 1pm: Indoor training / guided hike to look at and talk about trail
sustainability (Wren Falls destination for the hike)
* 6:30pm: FREE dinner, socializing, and beverages at the Gurney Community
Center.
Sunday, October 8th:
*7:30am:
Meet at the Gurney Community Center for morning refreshments. breakfast
*
8am: Carpool to the worksite.
*
11:30am: Lunch (provided)
*
12:30pm: Share reflections and lessons learned / survey
*
1:15pm: Carpool back to the Gurney Community Center.
* 2pm - conclusion of the training
The meeting location for both days is the Gurney
Community Center, located at Sorrels Road in Gurney, WI - https://goo.gl/maps/qYjskjnQSn7A4MeRA. Free lodging and camping is available nearby at Potato River
Falls County Park or at Copper Falls State Park. More details will be in the confirmation email sent out a few weeks before the training.
What to Bring?
A
daypack, pen and notetaking materials, work gloves, rain gear, 3 quarts of water,
handkerchief, hardhat (if you have one), and any personal needs. Wear sturdy footwear (no tennis shoes!).
All tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be
provided.
There is no fee to
attend but you must return this Completed Application to register. If you have any
