This is a 200-hour training at Village Yoga, our infrared-heated studio in Tequesta. Over six months, you'll learn to teach a safe, intelligent Power Vinyasa class, and just as much, you'll deepen your own practice and understanding of yoga from the inside out.
What we cover: asana (postures, alignment, hands-on assists, sequencing), anatomy and biomechanics, pranayama and meditation, yoga philosophy and the major texts, ethics, and the real-world business of being a teacher. The format is live, in-person training with us at the studio, plus some evening Zoom sessions for philosophy and ethics, weekend Asana Labs, a self-paced online anatomy course, and observation and teaching hours. You graduate eligible to register as an RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance.
Why this is an application, not just a sign-up.
This training isn't for everyone, and that's okay. I'd rather have the right people in the room than fill seats. Reviewing applications lets me make sure this is genuinely a good fit. You do not need to want to teach professionally to be here. Some of you will graduate and start teaching right away. Some of you are here to go deeper in your own practice and never plan to teach a class. Both are completely welcome.
What I'm looking for is simple: people who are ready to show up fully, do the work, and treat this space and each other with respect. This is an intimate, heart-led community, and the experience is only as strong as the people in it.
So this application is me getting to know you, your practice, your why, and whether you're in a season of life where you can really commit.
