Bees and butterflies are not only fun to watch, but they are essential for many crops, like apples and blueberries. Unfortunately, pollinator food and nesting sites are shrinking in today's developing world. Millions of acres filled with lawns, cornfields, and parking lots as well as commonly used pesticides (especially neonicotinoids) are threatening pollinator survival.
All of us have a role to play in supporting local pollinators.
