Did you know we rely on pollinators for one out of every three bites of food?

Bees and butterflies are not only fun to watch, but they are essential for many crops, like apples and blueberries. Unfortunately, pollinator food and nesting sites are shrinking in today's developing world. Millions of acres filled with lawns, cornfields, and parking lots as well as commonly used pesticides (especially neonicotinoids) are threatening pollinator survival.

All of us have a role to play in supporting local pollinators.

How will you help honey bees and wild pollinators? *

Please select all you plan to do by November 2025

FEED pollinators by planting fall-blooming flowers (like asters & goldenrods), when bees especially need good nutrition.

CONVERT some of your lawn to a pollinator garden or simply let those pesky clover & dandelions bloom to provide early food in the spring.

AVOID pesticides with neonicotinoids (like imidacloprid & clothianidin) and limit the use of pesticides to late evening (bees are flying less).

SUPPORT local beekeepers by spreading the word to your family & friends as well as city, school & county decision-makers.

Please provide your information to help our club's pollinator campaign. We are holding a friendly competition between Pierce and St. Croix Counties to see where we can collect the most pledges.
